We are excited to offer you the opportunity to participate in the Key Communities at Colorado State University. The Key Academic Community and the Key Service Community are two communities for first year students that offer a variety of strategies for academic success, including: Peer Mentors; co-enrollment in classes; feedback on academic performance; small seminar classes; group study; academic success workshops; and leadership development opportunities.

The Key Service Community is a first-year living learning community developed around the theme of “student leadership and civic engagement.” In this community, students take advantage of year-long service opportunities while building connections with faculty and community organizations.

Academics. Leadership. Community. Diversity. These comprise the values of the Key Academic Community, a first-year living learning community dedicated to academic success, personal connections, and campus involvement.

The Key Plus Community is an optional sophomore year program with leadership and career decision-making tracks for students who participated in the Key Academic, Network CSU or Key Service Community.
