Braiden Hall is the home of the Key Academic Community, Key Service Community, the sophomore year Key Plus Community, and the Global Village Living Learning Community. This combined with its central location on campus makes Braiden Hall one of the most desired residence halls on campus, as it is dedicated to community, diversity, and academic success.

Students in the Key Plus Community have the option of selecting to live on one floor in Braiden Hall. Instead of choosing between academic and social needs, Key Plus students will be able to meet both needs at once. You and your neighbors will share mutual respect, high standards for achievement, an active learning style, and appreciation for diversity, and involvement in campus activities.

Seeing familiar faces in your residence hall and classes will help you quickly establish friendships that will enhance your academic performance – your neighbors may become “built-in” study partners.

Benefits of living in Braiden Hall include:

  • Suite style hall centrally located on campus, next to the classrooms, laboratories, professor offices, the library and student center;
  • Adjacent to Aylesworth Hall, which is where the Key Academic Community office is located, making it easy for students to visit with Key staff;
  • Study rooms in the basement on the north side of the building, where Key students are housed;
  • A Movie Room in the basement on the north side of the building;
  • Residence for Upper Division Students – a great opportunity to meet and learn from older students;
  • Dining Center featuring Pasta al’Strada, Main Street, The Grill, Vegan/Vegetarian Bar, and R&D Pizza. The in-house dining center is just one option for residents;
  • Students in the residence halls may eat in any one of our 9 dining centers.
